*Last customer will be served at 11:45 AM to allow for all the hampers to be given out by 12:00 PM. Hours of operation may be dependent on weather and or other circumstances. If in doubt please call.
How to Get Help
All clients coming to the food bank are required to provide photo ID. For new clients please:
- Arrive and be in-line before 11:00 AM, as the Goldstream Food Bank will not accept registrations after 11:00 AM.
- Bring a photo ID for yourself and Care/Service cards for each family member who are your dependents.
- Bring a utility bill that has been mailed to your home address and bears your name.
- Note: Our staff of volunteers speak only English. In order for us to be able to serve you better. If English is not your first language please bring someone who is able to translate for you on the day you are first registering with us.
We provide supplemental food hampers* containing enough food for 5-7 DAYS (maximum one hamper per month) for Westshore residents in the following municipalities only: Langford, Colwood, View Royal, Metchosin, East Sooke and Highlands.
Note: Please come prepared to stand in-line. Ensure you are wearing clothing appropriate for the weather as you may have to be outside.
*Contents of the hamper vary depending on supply and demand.
